What's a gimme?

A gimme is a putt usually within what they call the leather. The leather is the length of the putter between the end of the grip and the end of the putter. It does NOT mean you don't have to count the stroke or gimme. If you were putting your 4th stroke and missed inside the leather your score on that hole is a 5 not a 4. Always, count your gimme's as a stroke.
